What you’re saying here is different than what you said above. Basically you’re saying influence scores do matter … just not Klout. So, it IS important to pay attention to your social scoring. I think that is the main point I was trying to make. I do agree there are better platforms out there (not necessarily the ones you mention) but I do think you need to be aware that Klout still has a lot a lot of pull because of its use at agencies (as a part of their algorithms) and is certainly a more important shaper of the influence landscape than you indicate. I don’t know you or your background but I recently did a study for one of the top five global ad agencies and can verify that Klout in some form still has impact.
