I'm not sure about doomsday talk but realistically, AI is going to displace millions of jobs over the next few years. The top coder at OpenAI -- a HIGHLY trained, highly sophisticated job -- said that AI does 80% of his coding. And we are just starting. I am NOT an alarmist. But I am a realist and if you think through the implications, it is profound.
